Central Missouri, Simmons First Foundation donate over $24,000 to Boy Scouts Center

Great Rivers Council Boy Scouts plan to build robotics space

The Simmons Bank team of Central Missouri presented a gift of $24,342.50 to the Great Rivers Council Boy Scouts of America on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America.

The Great Rivers Council Boy Scouts of America plans to use the donation to build out a space for their Scouting Adventure Center. Greg Baker, Great Rivers Council BSA Development Director said, "Thank you for coming to visit the Scouting Adventure Center and especially for providing the funds for the Engineering and Computing Arena. Soon we will have Scouts coming to the center to be introduced to the world of robotics, programming, electronics, engineering, and other mind-expanding opportunities in that field thanks to the Simmons First Foundation. Your gift directly impacts the quality of the Scouting program in central and northern Missouri. Without you and our other Friends of Scouting, there would be no program for the thousands of boys and young men and women we serve."

The Simmons First Foundation is excited to see the Scouting Adventure Center and the impact it will have on the next generation of leaders!
