Simmons Bank Names Regional Retail Manager for Missouri - February 4, 2020
ST. LOUIS, Missouri – Simmons Bank has named Marc Gerard senior vice president and regional retail manager for Simmons’ expanding Missouri market.
“Marc brings more than 20 years of retail leadership experience across multiple branches and markets,” said Simmons Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Officer Franklin Shirrell. “His expertise in leading and developing a multi-market retail banking team will be tremendously valuable as we continue to capitalize on our rapidly expanding presence in Missouri.”
Gerard joins Simmons from Regions Bank, where he served as consumer banking manager in St. Louis and other Missouri markets and was responsible for retail performance including the addition of new branches.
Prior to his service at Regions Bank, Gerard was a community executive at PNC Bank with responsibilities for consumer, small business, mortgage and private banking areas, while also leading community involvement activities in its Will County, Illinois market. Previously, he served in mortgage lending with Capital One Home Loans in the Overland Park, Kansas market, and served as a district manager for training at American General Financial Services in Kansas City with responsibilities for the Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota markets.
An active community member in the St. Louis area, Gerard has served as board and campaign chair of Midwest United Way, board member and committee chair for the YMCA, treasurer of the St. Louis Artist Guild and as a Financial Advisory Committee member for Catholic Charities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Joseph’s College in Indiana.
