Simmons Bank Taps John Bollinger as Oklahoma City Market President - August 5, 2021

Oklahoma City, Okla. – Simmons Bank (Simmons) announced today the promotion of John Bollinger to Oklahoma City market president. In his new role, Bollinger will oversee a team focused on providing customized solutions and exceptional customer service to meet the financial needs of an expanding commercial and retail client base.

“John has the proven leadership skills necessary to take the helm and lead our charge aimed at expanding our client reach in the Oklahoma City market,” said Chad Rawls, executive vice president and chief metro banking officer at Simmons. “The energy and tenacity he brings day in and day out will ensure we provide our clients with the highest level of service and products designed to meet their ever changing needs, and will serve us well as we look grow our market share in the region.”

With more than fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry, Bollinger joined Simmons as vice president of commercial banking in 2016. His efforts supported construction and agricultural clients in the northwest Arkansas market with commercial loans topping $100 million over a five-year period.

Prior to joining Simmons Bank, Bollinger served as the vice president of commercial loans for the Bank of Fayetteville, managing a loan portfolio of $80 million that supported more than 400 customers with real estate, consumer and commercial loans.

Bollinger is a proud alumnus of the Sam M. Walton College of Business and a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Southwestern Methodist University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking and a Master of science degree in banking with honors, respectively. Bollinger currently serves as a board member for the national non-profit Mission to Haiti and is a graduate of the Leadership Fayetteville 2020-2021 class.
