Salt Bowl Enter to Win Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR TRANSACTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR TRANSACTION WILL NOT INCREASE OR OTHERWISE IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

This Sweepstakes is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not a resident of the state of Arkansas. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.

  1. DATES OF SWEEPSTAKES
    The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on Monday, August 5, 2024, and ends at 4:59 p.m. CT on Friday, August 23, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

  2. ELIGIBILITY

    The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Arkansas, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry (the “Entrant”). Void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. Officers, directors, and employees of Simmons Bank (the “Sponsor”), and each of its affiliates and related companies and their respective advertising and promotion agencies, consultants, and agents, as well as immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each such person, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution, or distribution of this Sweepstakes (collectively the “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible to participate. “Immediate family member” means husband, wife, children, mother, father, sister, sister in-law, brother, or brother in-law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

  3. HOW TO ENTER

    Phase 1 – Registration: There is one (1) way to enter:

    1. IN PERSON:  To enter, Entrant must complete one (1) entry form and legibly handwrite their first and last name, email address, and phone number. Entries are accepted at Simmons Bank’s Saline County branches located at (a) Benton, Military Rd. at 1323 Military Road, Benton, AR, 72015; and (b) Bryant, Reynolds Rd. at 3109 North Reynolds Road, Bryant, AR, 72022. There is a limit of one entry per Entrant. Multiple entries submitted or completed by the Entrant are void. No mechanical reproductions will be accepted.  Entries must contain all entry fields outlined above; otherwise, they are void and will not be eligible to win. All entries must be received by 4:59 p.m. CT on Friday, August 23, 2024.

    Phase 2 – Entrant Selection


    Two entrants will be selected on Monday, August 26, 2024 (the “Drawing Date”) to participate in the Field Goal Challenge (“Participants”), in two random drawings – (a) one from the entries received at Simmons Bank’s Benton, Military Rd. location; and (b) one from the entries received at Simmons Bank’s Bryant, Reynolds Rd. location, for a chance to win the Prize.  Odds of being selected as a Participant depend on the cumulative number of eligible entries received at the time of the Drawing Date at each respective branch.  If Sponsor is unable to contact Participant within two (2) business days, another Participant will be selected.  Participant must be able to participate in the Field Goal Challenge (see below) or entry will be void. 

    Phase 3 – Field Goal Challenge:

    The two Participants will compete in the “Field Goal Challenge” during halftime of the Salt Bowl football game between Benton High School and Bryant High School on Friday, August 30, 2024, at War Memorial Stadium to determine the potential Prize winner or winners, if any. The Prize will be awarded to each eligible Participant who successfully completes one (1) of the three (3) field goal kick attempts as described below.

    Both Participants will have three (3) attempts to kick a twenty-five (25) yard field goal. If a Participant successfully completes the twenty-five (25) yard field goal, they will be deemed a Prize winner.

    A Prize winner will be required to sign and return (unless prohibited) a W-9 tax form, after which point the Prize will be distributed. If, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, the Prize winner is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, such Prize winner and his/her entry will be disqualified.

    The following requirements apply to the Field Goal Kick:

    • Each Participant must attempt the field goal kick on their own behalf. No one may attempt the field goal kick on behalf of another participant.
    • Athletic shoes and rubber cleats are permitted. Boots, sandals, and shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.
    • Participants are required to use the footballs and kicking tees provided by Sponsor.
    • Participants may not attempt any practice or warm-up kicks, in any manner, from any distance.
    • Each field goal attempt must be initiated from Sponsor’s designated hash mark on the field.
    • All field goal kick attempts must occur in the presence of Sponsor’s representatives. Any field goal kick attempt not in the presence of Sponsor’s representatives will be disqualified and is not eligible for the Prize.
    • The football must go through the goal post on the fly, without bouncing or coming in contact with the ground or any item, person, or surface that would alter or enhance the flight path of the football (except the inside of the goal posts).
    • No aid of any kind may be given to any participant in this Promotion. Nothing may be done to the football, goal posts, participant’s footwear, or playing surface that would enhance the participant’s chances of successfully completing the kick.
    • Sponsor’s decisions as to the administration and operation of this Promotion is final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion.

    In case of dispute as to the identity of any Entrant, entry will be declared made by the registered name and address on such entry. Either Participant may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such person is a Prize winner.

    Neither Sponsor nor any Sweepstakes Entity is responsible for any entry that is lost, late, illegible, stolen, mutilated, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, postage-due, misdirected or undeliverable, whether due to system errors, omissions, interruption, deletions, defects, delay in operations or transmissions, theft or destruction or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, human error, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, or otherwise.  Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor or Sweepstakes Entity.

    Limit of one (1) entry per person regardless of entry method. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than one entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other method will be void and Entrant will be disqualified from winning. In addition, use of any automated system to enter is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

  4. PRIZE & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE

    Subject to the satisfaction of all requirements herein, a prize winner will receive the following prize package (the “Prize”):
    • Four tickets to the Simmons Bank Championship at Pleasant Valley Country Club on Saturday, October 27, 2024 . (Valued at TBD).


    Exact seat locations will be determined by Sponsor. All federal, state, and local taxes, if any, related to a prize are the responsibility of the individual winner/winners, if any.

  5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS

    The Prize is non-transferable or assignable and no substitutions or cash redemptions are available, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. Sponsor will not replace the Prize if it is lost, stolen, or damaged. In the case of unavailability of the Prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. A Prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, including taxes imposed on his/her income. The Prize is subject to these Official Rules.  A Prize will not be awarded if Participant does not successfully complete the Field Goal Challenge.

  6. CONDITIONS

    All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner/winners, if any. By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants and Prize winner/winners, if any agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities, which are final in all respects and not subject to appeal. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify permanently from this Sweepstakes any Entrant it believes has violated these Official Rules and to verify eligibility of Entrants. Neither Sponsor nor anyone acting on its behalf will enter into any communications with any Entrant regarding this Sweepstakes, except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. All Sweepstakes materials are subject to verification and are void if (a) not obtained in accordance with these Official Rules and through legitimate channels, (b) any part is counterfeited, altered, defective, damaged, illegible, reproduced, tampered with, mutilated or irregular in any way, (c) are obtained where prohibited, or (d) they contain printing, typographical, mechanical, or other errors. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Sweepstakes materials submitted to Sponsor. In the event any portion of this Sweepstakes is compromised by activities beyond the control of the Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Sweepstakes or this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes. Winning the Prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agencies to use prize winner’s names, address (city & state), voice, and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity, for this Sweepstakes only, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor may prohibit an Entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other Entrants, Sponsor, or Sweepstakes Entities. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not able to be conducted as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes, and randomly draw from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date to award the Prize. Sponsor is the official timekeeper of this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.

  7. NO LIABILITY

    By participating, Entrants and Prize winner/winners, if any, agree to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Sponsor, the Sweepstakes Entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claims made by any Entrant, prize winner/winners, if any, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Sweepstakes as well as any other claims, damages, or liability due to any injuries, damages, or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from receipt, acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the Prize or participation in any promotion related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes.

  8. USE OF DATA

    Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Entrants, in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the Sponsor’s privacy policy at http://www.simmonsbank.com/privacy-policy. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and use of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor will only be using Entrants’ personal information to contact the Participants and winner/winners of the prize, if any.

The request for the winner(s) name must be received within 60 days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
